    ^You can make the deflector a bit wider than the intake hole. Seal the top edge where it meets the firewall.

    Or we could go back to the first 95 odd years of the auto industry and just not have a cabin filter.

    Of all the things to complain about on modern cars a $10 filter that takes 30 seconds to change is pretty low on my list.

    ^Did you forget where you are? On this forum people add CD players to the glovebox and worry about the hood scoop leaking water onto the hood insulation...
