    I have a 2007 4Runner V6 and would like to replace the headlight bulbs as the original bulbs are far too dim and yellow for night driving. However, I do not want to create any computer error issues, or adapt to fan-type bulbs if that requires modifications. I would like to replace with LED or HID, if that's possible that are plug and play. I'd appreciate any recommendations from others who have made a successful change to a brighter bulb.

    Thank you! I’m happy to learn of this forum as I’ve owned my 4 Runner since new and still running strong after 184,000 miles. However, now in my seventies the headlights are just not bright enough for night driving and hope I can get advice from others who have made a change to a brighter bulb.

    Thanks, Wolfpack. Were these bulbs a direct fit, no modifications necessary? Did the LEDs produce any light scatter over the halogens? Lastly, did you get an error codes on the computer system when changing to LEDs?

    Hey welcome. I have a gen 5 so I won’t be able to help You much. The only tip I would say is if you’re going with led find a level place 30 feet from a wall. Take some tape and mark where your old ones hit then replace them with led and and adjust accordingly. I’ve seen some posts where people mention the led light pattern may be a little different. Plenty of YouTube videos. Best of luck. Happy New year to you

    No mods. Direct fit. No codes. No scattered light. Takes only a couple of minutes. Easy peasy. Do it. No brainer! : )

    I did all auxito. Got them off Amazon. They had a hi/low beam led combo, front and rear blinkers, reverse lights, parking lights and fog lights. Zero issues. Very bright and work great. Nice and bright and would highly recommend.

    I recently bought the Morimoto 2stroke version 4 LED bulbs...they are fantastically bright and plugged right in with their supplied adapter harness...took all of of 20 min to do...they do have fans but if you listen to the radio/music, you'll never hear them...my ONL gripe is they have fans. They've been installed for 4 months with zero issues...:plane:

    On a 5th Gen ( Not 4th as OPs);
    The brightest LEDs I've tried are Hikari Titanova H11
    https://amzn.to/3C59yWA

    I came across LED called Novsight N70. They seem to draw stupid power a relay harness is included in the package.
    (They don't have Amazon link. When I try to copy the link from their site it's too long and messy. So not sharing here. But should be easy to search and find it.)

    Those do look good! I'd definitely consider a relayed harness anything over 50w!

    Beware LEDs with fans. EM interference triggering phantom ABS faults is a known issue. I had my LED bulbs for 3 years before it happened. Toyota issued a TSB for 5th Gens but it can happen in 4th Gens too.
