Finished the DIY roof net in the trunk. It's a combination of a conventional luggage net and a couple of tension straps. The idea for the attachments to the C and D pillars comes from raingler.com

    Black overlays. Black tailpipe.
I picked up the roof rack yesterday and installed it. I can confirm that the rack is identical to the rack available from Yakima directly. Saved myself $125!

Also, I’m in the market for predator steps if anyone in the Atlanta area doesn’t want theirs anymore.

I fixed the scratch/small dent on my truck. Now you can hardly see it at all! I already told the insurance company I won't be getting it fixed (They declared the accident 50/50).

Looks a bit better. I’d recommend looking into getting a sheet of this to cover the blemish, you won’t be disappointed. You can buy a sheet and cut to fit. I used this product for my wife’s Lexus when the rear bumper was brushed by an idiot in a parking lot just a few weeks from new. Applied over 6-years ago and it still looks as good as it did when it was originally applied. That’s after being exposed to the punishing Hawaii sun, salt air and an automatic car wash every 2-3 weeks.

Returned home from a 2100 mile round trip. I’ll never road trip this vehicle again. Uncomfortable, nowhere near enough storage, can’t go over 75 without it feeling like it’s out of control. Will likely trade or sell outright very soon.

I’ve done a couple long range trips in mine, one was with barely any gear packed and another fully loaded with gear. Traveling speed limits up to 80 MPH and at no time was the ride squirrelly or uncomfortable. One has to wonder how your rig is setup, what kind of tires you’re running (psi), suspension (factory Fox or upgraded), checked your alignment?…details please. I don’t like hearing someone not happy with a T4R!

Installed Husky floor liners I purchased on Amazon.

Last week I replaced all the headlight bulbs and fog light bulbs to replace all the old yellow and dull oem ones. What a difference!

You don't need to sell it, you need to road-force balance your tires and/or get an alignment. It's your wheels/tires that are the problem. Not the 4Runner. You probably threw a wheel weight (or a few!)

This^. The 4runner is an abmysal highway car. Other than a very nice ride quality, it has nothing going for it on the highway. I experienced this first hand on my first 1700 mile trip to New Mexico.
But it's relatively cheap to own in the long term and mine is paid off, so it will stay. Also, I have spent way too much money on it to keep it in excellent shape.

That a good question actually, I haven’t seen many specify. It’s typically for tall men, typically are the driver in the relationship. I know when I sit in the passenger seat I highly dislike it - also doesn’t have seat bottom up/down control like driver’s seat.

Seat jackers lift front of the seat bottom, then the driver can raise further; passenger not able to further raise but yes jackers would help passenger seat

Where did you guys get your seat jackets? I’m tall-ish and find the seat very uncomfortable.

What a silly question! Why would we care about the BACKSEAT passengers?!?!? Pffft.

The kids: Dad, can we have seat jackers too?

I must be in the minority - i find the 4R plenty comfortable for long trips. I regularly drive 500-1000mi round trips for work and have never been uncomfortable or miserable. Highway manners are just fine. Is it my old Raptor? No. Is it 1000x better than previous Jeeps? Yes.

Nah, I'm in that camp also. I'm over 6' 2" and I find the seating position perfect for me. I don't need seat jackers. I did need them in my Tacoma though, because that seat was on the floor. The seat in the 4runner is like my office chair.

My legs aren't sticking straight out. So my legs/knees/hips aren't affected as badly as they were in the Taco. Oh, and my daily commute is up to 1hr (each way). I spend quite a bit of time in my ride.

For what the 4R is and accepting its limitations I think its fine. I've done 3000 mile road trips in it each of the last 3 years (and another planned this year). The truck is slow on the highway and even if the speed limit is 80mph I'm usually in the slow lane doing 70 at the most. Easier to drive at that speed and the mileage is that much better. Last year I towed my little military trailer and went even slower at 65mph max. I found that taking it easy and not being in a hurry is the best way to drive long distances in the 4R.

Are you driving a lot of hilly terrain? Mine cruises pretty effortlessly at 80-85 mph. Just over 80 seems to be the sweet spot.
