Have noticed a "hot" smell the past couple times after being out. Originally chalked it up buring fluid film oversprsy. But today i stuck my hand near each rotor and have a definite higher heat from the passenger side front..
Question, has anyone freed up and prolonged a sticky brake caliper piston? Or am I just looking at a new caliper altogether and should forgo the idea of trying to mess with it until i have new parts infront of me..
    Good times.

As a side note i have noticed a dive to the one side during heavy braking and gas mileage sucks right now.
    But... winter fuel doesnt help.

Not worthwhile trying to rebuild the caliper when there are so many remans and new calipers to choose from on Rock Auto. You may want to also replace the little S-shaped piece of hard line if it's rusted.

Nope, Just need to ensure you correctly bleed the system after making your repairs.

^The S-shaped hard line is OEM-only, though pretty cheap from the dealer parts counter. The hard line goes from the caliper to a bracket on the knuckle. The rubber hose goes from the knuckle bracket to the hard line on the frame. The rubber hose cannot connect to the caliper directly as both are female threaded.

Just upgraded to early 5th gen calipers rotors and pads.. my brakes were sticking so I sourced all the parts on offer up. I believe the parts have to be from 2010 to 2015 tho.. there are some posts regarding the swap on here.
