If it's a new or newish Pro Bro then keep the stock stuff since you paid extra for it.

Keep it stock is your best bet and save the money for a trip. I off-road about once a month with a stock SR5, no complaints.

I can’t speak for the Pro, but the Eibach Pro Truck kit was a significant improvement in ride quality on my ORP

The best bang for your buck is Bilstein 6112 for the front and 5100's for the rear.

Eibach stage 2, load lifter kit, Maggie w/ OTT tune... Other stuff.
Pro truck 2 kit with load lifters is even better. I avoided the pro because i knew the suspension was getting replaced anyway.

What kind of off roading do you do, rock climbing, high speed desert? Find the capability of it now and see what you need.

Stock. The Pro is already extremely capable. Put some better tires on it, some sliders, and send it.

"for mostly on the road with some occasional off roading" He will be fine with any rubber, and any stock suspension mate.

EDIT- Id put the money somewhere else. Big time. Him and the rig will be just fine.

That’s why I said find the capability of your vehicle and then see what it needs. These things will do a lot off the lot. But again, what do they consider off roading, are they running dirt roads and consider that off roading or are they climbing boulders?

That's my setup as well. I chose the 5100 over the 5160 because the 5160 only has a 2 year warranty and a reputation for leaking. Both the 5100 and 6112 have a lifetime warranty.

Yep, for his kind of driving he doesn't need 5160's.

It's a legitimate question. For example, one of the trails I visit a few times a year is 180 miles away. The trail itself is 19 miles long but takes a whole day to run due to difficulty. That means 360 miles (95%) of pavement and 19 miles (5%) off-road, for a weekend toy.

A daily driver with commute miles would be 99.9% on road and 0.1% off-road, yet that 0.1% can easily be 100x more damaging to the vehicle. How to spend money will depend on the terrain. Skid plates and sliders for rocks, better suspension for the dunes, etc.
