I understand that one side of the harness plugs into the LED, the ground gets grounded on body, but where the heck does the other connect plug in? I have a 2024 TRD OR with the halogen DRL and I can’t figure it out for the life of me.

Doesn’t show where the black plug goes.

It just splices between the bulb and the factory harness. Then the ground wire goes to the body. Just think of the new harness as an extension....with an added ground.

It's an easy, fun project about anyone can do. Get the lower lumen diode dynamics bulbs and you'll be good to go!

I don’t understand this. Why are the black and red tied together?

Did the upgrade today. Low lumin bulbs along with the switchback lights.

Easy peasy. Did it myself tonight. It was tough to find lower lumen amber lights but I found some off of Tractor supply.

Does it matter which side of the blue connector in your picture the ground connection goes to? I wish I could see a circuit diagram of the original setup, for some reason this doesn’t make sense to me.

post #41 should clarify it for you.

OR, read through the entire post. Plenty of good information about the entire process.

Is there anywhere you can buy the cable?

@ThatGuyTheCooler - I like the amber-colored driving lights you used. I have a white 4runner too, and it breaks up all of the "whiteness"!

Generally you can buy them here:
    https://fbchs.square.site/

Site says it is offline though so need to wait until the new year. @daveeasa is on here as well and might be able to direct you to the new site (change of url maybe?) when it’s up and running

Storefront won’t be changing. I haven’t shut it down yet either. But I plan to so I can switch the accounting side of things.

ETA: change of plans. Closing store for good.

The top side of the blue piece has a clip on it. It can only go one way. Use that as your go by when attaching the ground. The other side just has power in and both leads are jumpered together.

@Number16 guess you can’t buy from that site anymore. Vendor closed it indefinitely

I made some wiring diagrams from a previously uploaded diagram (thanks to who ever did, I can't remember where I found it).
These are based on my 2024 ORP , these may help some visualize how it's done.
