I recently bought a 2024 4Runner TRD Off Road. My prior vehicle was an FJ Cruiser. The FJ had small sun visors for the driver and passenger side windows. They mounted just above the grab handle. They worked great and I miss them. Anyone know of any side visors for a 4Runner?

Hey Whip, thanks for the link. I haven't sold my FJ yet, so I'll see if I can retrofit it's visors to the 4Runner.
I know what you mean about keeping the FJ, but it's a 2014 I bought new in in Dec 2013.
I've used it offroad and to tow for 11 years and 198K miles.
I'm not sure I would be completely comfortable with it on a long distance offroad trip, or towing a long distance.
I will miss the 6 speed, though.

I did the FJ visor mod. I wish they were a bit longer. The sun still shine a bit on the corners. They did the same on the FJ when I used it to block the sun.

Interesting that you kept the folding grab handles...all the side visor additions I've seen to date switched to the FJ fixed grab handles also...looks good!

Did you just use longer bolts to add the visors?

Thanks, I did use longer (1.5 inch) 8mm bolts. It made it easier to guide the bolts in place. Had to modify the stock grab handles to accommodate the bolts since the stock handles had square mounts. I tried using Lexus grab handles, it stood to far down (kept hitting my head on it) before switching back to the stock handles.

To lazy to unclip and swing over. Just needed to be able to just swing down the visor. Also, it looks pretty good and different.

Do you have the part numbers for these FJ visors?

Also, you think these can be installed in the 2nd row?

    Thanks!

Here are the part numbers for the visors:
    74304-35020-B0 Sun Visor (Left)
    74303-35020-B0 Sun Visor (Right)

Do not know if they will work for the back seat. I would think it would work. I used this to block out some of the sun in the back seat.

I retrofitted FJ visors and grab handles in April. Writeup and part numbers here: https://www.4runners.com/posts/585187

I order the set of parts from Japan. The eBay listing still shows one set available: https://www.ebay.com/itm/314385188669
