I can't get over how bulky and fugly the front and back ends look. Some good looking concepts out there.

This overall design reminds me of the Basset Hound I had for 18 years. With the 2.5L engine, I suspect this thing will act like my Basset Hound as well by throwing itself on the sidewalk refusing to move when it's too tired to get out of its own way.

    Doesn't the 2025 have more power than your 2024 @Jennyjo14 ?

I used to think the front end of the 5th Gen was fugly, but not compared to the 6th Gen...

I’m glad it’s not any of the middle renderings. Bottom one isn’t the worst.

A good truck design for Toyota has to look good enough today, and maybe even better ten years from now. Gen3 4R nailed it from day one, however, Tundra & 4Runner had to be “corrected” in 2014.

No doubt Gen6 has already scheduled a 2028 visit to the plastic surgeon for a “stache” removal and fender augmentation. Maybe they can also do something with that crazy “4Runner” tattoo on its lower rear hatch…

After the GX460 front end, anything short of that is a blessing from Toyota, LOL.

This is great. Almost looks like a 5th gen facelift but I'm okay with it lol

Good luck to aftermarket bumper manufacturers with that front end nightmare. Unless they just come up with a version that has you use a sawzall straight across from fender well to fender well.

I like the production model over those concepts/renders. It's front-end is a little protrude-y but it's okay - if I think of it as a homage to the fat-lip 3rd-gen it sits better.

The concepts look to me like an open top LC, a big RAV4, a extra-masculine, squinty, early-10's Tucson with a certain front end (photo below) and another big RAV4.

I'm gonna chuckle if they put a bunch of sensors and driver assist/TSS electronics in the foremost part of the front lower "bumper" where those two driving/fog lights(?) are, such that any parking lot ding or fender bender turns into major damage

Close! It seems recessed a smidge to its credit but not as tucked-in as previously.

I’m sure the look will grow on us. I wish they spent more time on making the interior useful though instead of just trying to make everything inside and out look “different”.

The 4Runners even generations have never been everyone’s favorite. Sadly the new ones are an even number. The 1,3,5 generations are the best according to most people. I have a second gen so I’m biased about the 1,3,5. But I think we’ll grow into the 6th. It could be a lot worse. Like the new blazer or something like that.

My favorite fan fiction render was the one with the 5th gen body with the 3rd gen Taco front end. I think that actually would have been a good seller, the 5th gen still a good looking vehicle, it just needs a powertrain and interior update.

The front grill looks like mine, kind of straight metal w/T and the tailights, kind of "barred". All I need is the rims.

From the front straight on it doesn't look too bad. But once one views from any angle, that protruding lower piece looks like it's glued on.
