This makes me sad. This truck deserves more. Sad times for Jeep :(

The difference between this and Tacoma TRD Pro is $15k. $15k will get you 4.5" lift Metal Cloak, trusses for the Dana44s, 5.38 and 40s. Also, HD trackbar, tie rod draglink and ball joints. And you get yourself an absolute monster for $65k. You decide! Spend some more and you get beefier axle shafts

What's wrong with the jeep? And what's wrong with that wave, that wave won the World War II.
    You're just a hater ;)

I see that a loaded 2025 Rubicon is priced around $63k. You're saying that a 2025 TRD Pro Tacoma is $78k?

The MSRP is 63k, look at that gigantic discount that dealers are giving. And that thing is still negotiable, buddy of mine got $18,000 discount

I wanted one, then they came out and I couldn’t stand how they look. I was hoping it would have been more like the old one.

Yeah, but the discount is there because few are buying. That's not a qualifier. They were giving $15k discounts the first couple years of the Gladiator for the same reason.

Regardless, it's a good opportunity to snatch a good truck for a price that makes sense

They may be doing better but they're going to have to "show me". And for me that's going to take years.

If that's the truck you want, sure. If I were in the market for a pickup, that wouldn't be on my list.

The 3.6 V6 is a proven motor, the transmission is made by zf, axles By Dana, other components are also made by reputable companies. Those are good components.

It's okay if the Gladiator will not be on your list, but if the new Tacoma is on your list then that is a big problem. Nissan Frontier is also good one right now

Why do you say the Tacoma being on my list would be a "big problem"?

If I'm going to spend $65k on a vehicle, that's already a problem in my world. They're both priced similarly. One simply needs $10k lopped off that price in order to move it, due to lower demand.

    No argument here.
But there is a whole vehicle around the drivetrain that can also give you fits. I'm not saying the newer products haven't improved, I'm just not convinced.
You know "it's not you, it's me".

Jeeps have issues, minor issues that do keep you busy, I am not arguing that. But the thing is decent. The 3.6 is bulletproof except oil filter housing will eventually crack, it is a Jeep thing :) Just minor pesky issues, nothing catastrophic

Again, that Jeep is too much truck for $50k in today's market, hard to pass.

And aftermarket solves those minor issues, you can get the aluminum oil filter housing once the stock plastic one craps out. You can't beat Jeep aftermarket
