Anyone have any insight on whether the Fox kit has been discontinued? I could only fine one dealer online that had them. I was looking for my wife’s 16 4Runner since she likes the ride of her 23 Pro. :notsure:

My question is, which one does she let you drive...? :p

No idea on the Fox suspension, as I didn't even know Toyota offered it as a kit.

lol. She is pretty stingy with her Pro. Really wouldn’t have gotten it but since Toyota killed the V6 for 6th gen she wanted an overpriced Pro…so here we are. :D

I believe manufactures only have to provide new parts for six years. That’s fine because the pro bro shocks are highly overrated.

Agree. We have 3 Pros and the suspension is fantastic. No complaints here. I rebuilt our 2012 Raptor with upgraded Fox shocks when they needed replacement and they were awesome too. I think people just like to bash OE because it is the cool thing to do.

Evidently. Seems like some 4Runner owners are smug compared to Tacoma and Tundra owners.

    Not everyone is off-roading their 4Runners. I know that’s a novel idea.

We off road ours all of the time. We own property in NC and there are some excellent trails right from our doorstep. Never had an issue with the OE suspension. I would even argue that it is better than any other car I have owned. Part of the reason we have 4 4Runners.

In fairness to Toyota, the majority of Tacoma's and 4Runners will be used exclusively on the street. They know anyone who will be doing any serious off roading will replace the suspension anyways. Fox is more than sufficient for mall crawling bro dozers.

Pretty much no way. There's a 2024 TRD Pro that will need parts availability for years to come.

I am wondering if Toyota is doing like they did the 2nd gen Tacoma where they discontinued the kit but individual parts are available.

    Just a thought....

I like the ride comfort of Ironman FCP suspension over TRD Pro Fox suspension.

I'm thinking suspension like OME BP51 is even more comfy.

Crazy expensive suspension like ELKA 2.5DC are insanely comfy offroad compared to TRD Pro Fox but since I've few failures of Toytec Aluma suspension in this forum I'm doubting reliability. (I believe Toytec Aluma is made by ELKA. Maybe less expensive components. Who knows...)

Appreciate the thought. She does not off-road either one. If I’m going to drop that much $$$, I will just go with Accutune.

Seriously? This is super helpful! Why didn’t I think of that sooner! She clearly knows it’s not the same thing and can tell a difference in the ride. :facepalm:Thanks for the useless suggestion
