Best I can do at present... :D

All I can say is damn, it's almost too much light without needing to switch on high beams! I'll try tomorrow night to get a forward view.

Greased the drive shafts today. A first for me. Not a terrible job, and the only tool needed was the grease gun, and some paper shop towels if you consider those a tool. Used Lucas Red N Tacky NLGI-2. The first zerk caused one small issue - the grease was not going in, just spewing out the fitting on the zerk. Grease gun fitting was pretty old. Luckily I had purchased a Lube and Lock, so I switched grease gun hose ends, and voila - success! The L&L makes it so much easier.

Some advice from a rookie, which a lot of you will already know, but to those trying this for the first time - some things I didn't do, should have, and hope to remember to do in 5 years when it's time to do this again, which would have made the job so much easier:

    - without access to a lift, use ramps for the front, and jack stands for the rear. This was doable without, but the extra room would have made it so much easier, rather than having to contort one's 70-year old self under the vehicle trying to get a purchase on the grease zerks, especially the front of the transfer case, which already has limited access points available.

    - having the vehicle wheels off the ground makes it possible to put the vehicle in neutral, in order to rotate the rear drive shaft, which will, of course, end up with the grease zerks facing straight up otherwise; which necessitates having to move the vehicle backward or forward to rotate the rear drive shaft. The front drive shaft turns with the wheels on the ground. The ramps just afford more room to work.

All in all, not too bad. I just had to know it could be done.

True. I always put a tiny dab on my skid plate bolts and it ends up everywhere. :annoyed:

Put Sylvania Zevo P/N 1156ALED.BP2 bulbs in the front turn signal lamps. The only good thing I can say, is they're relatively cheap (for LEDs). And coming from the Sylvania brand, they'll probably be reliable. However, they are less bright than the basic filament bulbs in there before.

I hate silver too, but that fit looks so bad it would drive me nuts. Not to mention the finger prints .

Filled up the gas tank for the first time ever, after bringing it home from the dealer 2.5 months ago.

    $101 to fill it up.

    I don’t drive it much. Barely 300+ miles. IMG_4648.jpg

Alpharex Mk2 Nova and OEM LED fogs installed. The driver side high beam doesn’t engage so I’ll be contacting them. Luckily they only sat in storage for a year so they still have warranty.

Just did my first black Friday purchase, a double jerry can holder. When we had to evacuate from Milton it was hard to find gas on the way back and I would rather not keep tanks in the vehicle. It was on sale for $127.20 still too much for what it is, but it will do the job for me.

Just averaged 14.0 mpg on my last tank due to the shitty commute. It's about what my Tacoma gets rock crawling in 4lo (and going about as fast). Has anyone done a Crawl Control Anytime mod?

Actually, we're not that bad now, at least for non-premium stations....but yeah, vs nationally we are sooo expensive.

Costco Gas prices are currently ranging between $3.59 to $4.59 in the larger metropolitan areas.

I just filled up yesterday at $1.45 CAD/L in the People's Republic of Canuckistan, which is equivalent to $3.93 USD/gal, second-highest band in the map.

And that's considered "cheap" for here. I remember a couple summers ago it was the equivalent of almost $6.60 USD/gallon

Woah, I’m jealous of the $2.xx gas prices. I haven’t seen that here in CA in decades! I get excited when I see $4.xx prices now.
