I have the Falken Wildpeak AT3 and for the first 15k miles they were really nice and quiet but from 20k to 30k wear they howl on the road and I don’t know if I can make the rest of the warranty of the tire. Does anyone have experience with the most popular AT tires and can vouch for them being quiet after 20k of wear?

I run the General Grabber AT/X
They are very quiet for an aggressive tread, mine on my 2008 were virtually silent till about 90,000 miles. In the last 15,000 they have gotten progressively louder. I took the vehicle to the tire place and asked the shop owner how come they were getting so loud lately and he said
"oh those tires are old, they are getting harder as the rubber dries out, they are getting louder buy you'll probably never wear them out"

I have about 109,000 miles on them now. I am easily going to get 125,000 out of them. They are slightly louder than they are supposed to be but they are still very quiet in comparison to other tires.
I took these pictures at 107,000 miles for someone else on here. They are great tires.

Wildpeaks don't have the best longevity from what I've seen. But, have they been rotated regularly?

I have been rotating mine every 5K miles for the last few sets, and I don't notice them getting louder (~60K miles on my current Toyo AT3's) and the tread wear has been excellent.

Every 5k. They grip great still but they are just so loud.

Are you saying you have 109k miles on 1 set of tires or you got them at 90k and will last till 125k?

I bought these tires in 2019 from Discount Tire in El Cajon California and had them installed at Evans tire in El Cajon California because Discount Tire wouldnt mount them cause they were not the same size as stock. I had 133,000 miles on the 4R when they were installed and i have over 240,000 miles today.
I have driven across the country on i40, i20, i10, multiple times chasing races across the country. These tires have been as far south as La Paz Baja Mexico, and down to Miami Florida. I have been as far north as Denver and Charlotte NC. I travel back and forth chasing races all over the country.
Yes this set of tires has over 100,000 miles on them.

I have put over 75,000 on a set on my diesel 2500 that i towed a race trailer across the country with. Now granted they were practically wore out at 75,000 but i had a heavy truck pulling a trailer its whole life and running open roads.
I have been in snow storms, ice storms, sleet, torrential downpours, pulling trailers, unloaded, with family, ect ect. I have close to 500,000 combined miles on these General Grabber tires since 2014 and they are by far the absolute best tire for what i do. I used to run the BFG AT but their mileage is horrendous and they wont stay balanced. High speeds on the highway makes the belts move around and you have to constantly balance them to keep them smooth.

I put this set of 285/60-18 on my 2008 daily driver 4R back in August 2019 and i did my first rotate and balance at 40,000 miles. I did my second balance and rotate at 90,000 miles. This is when i went to the shop and asked how come they were starting to get loud.
I put a set of 305/50-20 on my 2008 Tacoma and drove it almost 60,000 miles before i sold it and the tires were half tread. I dont recall ever rebalancing them on the Tacoma.
I put a set of 285/70-17 on my 3500 Diesel, i did not do a single rotate on them for the 40,000 miles i had them. I did rebalance the fronts once because they had odd wear that turned out to be the alignment. This truck was my trailer towing rig and hauled a trailer every mile. The dual rear wheels kept the load spread out so the front and rear wore almost identical so i never rotated them.
I put a set of 33x12.5x20 on my 2500 diesel, i did rotate them fairly often because of the tongue weight of the trailer, I was wearing the rears much faster than the front so i had to keep them rotated like every 20,000 miles but i sold that truck with about 75,000 miles on the tires and they had tread left but they had definitely seen all the good they were going to see.
I put a set of 305/50-20 on my wifes 2012 4R and we traded it in with about 75,000 miles on them and i did 2 rotates and 1 rebalance.
I put a set of 305/50-20 on my Tundra and they rubbed too much so i bought another set of 275/55-20 for the Tundra. I still have it, it has about 15,000 miles on them and i have never pulled them off for a balance or rotate.
The 305/50-20 i took off the Tundra i held onto and put them on the wifes new 2023 4R and she has about 20,000 miles on them now. They have never been off for a balance or a rotate.

The Toyo Open Country ATIIs I have on my Tacoma got super loud as they wore down. Not sure if the ATIIIs are better.
The Goodyear Workhorses on my 4Runner are about half worn and still very quiet. I’ve been very impressed with them. I will get them again if the price is right.

the nitto terra grappler that come on the pro were quiet at first. After 30k miles they start being louder.
