Am I the only one who wonders why a plastic knob costs $89.00??

^When you invest $20k in injection molds and have to amortize it over a niche quantity of sales... I mean, it's almost as bad as Toyota charging $2 per plastic clip, right?

Be neat if they made the little clear piece light up, I did the led mod on my stock one and it came out nice looking

    Edited for phone posting typos

Injection molding is not cheap. There are four pieces to the t-case dial, with a machine-pressed plastic-coated neodymium magnet in the center of the dial to attach the magnet caps (if you choose to run them). Each of the primary molded pieces needs its own mold so the upfront costs of creating these were well above $20k with the molds, MOQ, magnets, caps, packaging, and shipping - then we have QC labor, shipping labor, and continued R&D time on improving the design and/or carrying over the existing interchangeable cap design to other applicable locations for those who really like it. It's not going to be for everyone, we know that. But it's a piece that has never been made for the 4Runner before (the silver bezel around the T-case dial) so we decided to manufacture them to compliment our line of billet shifters.

    I think it's a great product!

Now if you can make black trim bezels for climate control knobs that would be amazing...!!!
