OEM yellow or amber fog lights

Are there OEM yellow or amber fog lights available for my 2015 4Runner?

I tried a set off Amazon and although they looked good, the bulb didn't fit well and I'm sure would have bounced out once I started driving.

Planned to order some Lamin-X from 4runnerlifestyle.com but wasn't sure that's the only or best option out there.

They also offer a stealth light kit that looks like it could be a good option, but I was prefering the lens to be yellow or amber.

I did the Lamin-X thing on mine, but I do kinda like the stealth look of the ones in your link.

 

I have the Lamin-X on my SloRunner. I mean, the fog's are already LED, so no need to replace them. They go on super-duper easy. I've had mine on for over a year and they still look great.

There are not yellow/amber OEM fogs available, however as some have already mentioned you can use yellow vinyl like I did originally. Just keep in mind, if you have LED fogs that the combo of the yellow film + the OEM LED will give you a slightly green tint. Because of this I switched to Diode Dynamics "Elite Series"

OP will have halogen fog lights in his 2015 unless they were upgraded at some point.

Correct, I have the halogen fog lights I have not upgraded to LED. The lamin-X option seems like an inexpensive way to do get the yellow look. I might give that a shot first and then go the stealth mode later.

Yes. Fog lights are yellow. I challenge the OP to tell me why without Google. Just because they look cool doesn't count either.

 

To be honest, I would have had no idea until a few years ago. Although, I never considered upgrading fog lights on a vehicle until a few years ago, either.

 

Phillips makes a halogen direct plug in yellow bulb used with standard clear lens that has good beam project specs. If illumination with minimum glare back is your goal.

 

I helped my daughter put the Lamin-X yellow film on the driving lights on her '23 TRD ORP, along with some grill lights. Easy peasy on both accounts...

 

Back when I worked for the state, we tried ALL COLORS on plow trucks. By far the YELLOW was the best in snow and fog for visibility.

 

Diode dynamics amber are amazing. I personally wouldn’t trust a yellow “film” for my safety. If you’re going to do it, do it right.

 

I decided last year after driving through the fog and blinding myself with my white LED factory fog lights that I was going to get some amber ones for this winter so after reading a lot of reviews I went with Diode Dynamics SS3 Max in amber. I haven't gotten to try the fog lights yet as I just got them yesterday but plan on getting them installed this weekend and will report back. It has been extremely foggy over the last couple of days so i should be able to test them out soon.

 

They’re superior. I use them as DRL as well. I ran them to their own switch. The only thing I am careful about is nighttime driving. The Diode Dynamics extremes are very bright. Used them in fog 2-3 times and they’re incredible.

 

My rig is lifted so I know I will have to play around with the aiming a little, probably set them about an 0.5 to 1 inch lower at 25 feet compared to the factory fog lights then adjust based on how many times I get flashed.

 

Yeah. I have them all the way down as I am lifted as well. Still get flashed so I don’t use them at night. They’re extremely bright. On the expressway you will see them lighting up signs that are 1/4 mile away. But I wouldn’t trade them for anything else. In the fog they do their job. I’ve also had them off roading and had them completely submerged in water and they didn’t even blink. Excellent DRLs. We have them on all the time in the day. You will be seen and nobody flashes their lights at you.

My baja designs S8 light bar that I have mounted in my bumper has been fully submerged once and didn't have any issues. I was originally going to get the baja designs Squadron-R SAE, due to how happy I am with the S8 light bar, but I haven't read a lot of positive reviews and the conciseness is the diode dynamic fogs are far superior.
