Yeah, that’s horrendous range with that tiny fuel tank. That’s only with him and the wife in the truck too. Imagine a road trip with a family of 4 and a full load of luggage and gear, bikes on a rack, etc. It’s the story of the little 4banger that couldn’t.

 

Its probably the same thing inside and out, the OR is probably just shock changes to be quite honest.

I was watching driving sport TV on YouTube.

they compare the LC250, Defender and Ineos.

they talk shit about the fuel economy of the LC compared to the other but don’t mention that sure on paper you get 23mpg but with 1 size bigger E load tires on the LC you are 100% not getting that.

 

TrailRecon is building one of these. He's typically a Jeep guy, this is his first Toyota. He likes the vehicle, but the low range due to small fuel tank and low mpg is his biggest complaint.

 

I have to admit I kind of like the 6th gen, but I also really like my Outback Wilderness- other than towing (and low range, which I used twice in 4 years of ownership), it does everything better than my 5th gen. The only thing that would turn me off is the price, but if an SR5 comes in under $50K I would consider it. I doubt that price is realistic though.

 

I also like the 6th gen. I think the aesthetical changes are very needed. But the more that comes out about it, is making that dwindle. Price going up for less quality.
