If it is as good as the KO2 then go for it. I loved my KO2's and now absolutely love my KM3's
Don't be afraid of mudterrains, consider the KM3 too

Per couple of reviews it's snow traction seems to be a huge improvement.

For me personally the weight is a big let down.

My KO2s have at least another year to go and my plan is to go w/ the KO3s afterwards. Not sure if they have produced them yet but I’m also waiting on them to come in “C” rated not just the “E”. I don’t really do allot of towing and the sidewall of the “C” offers all the protection I need w/o the extra weight.

**Update** I just checked TireRack’s website and if I wanted “C” rated I’d have to stay with the KO2’s for now.

It depends on where you live. Mud tires are useless in winter. If you don't have space or money for a set of winter tires, you're better off sticking to a 3PMSF all terrain.

I have a set of ko3’s in the stock size, E rated, on my 23 OR for a little over 2000 miles. So far so good. They have been great on the road, not loud at all, plus good in mud and sand. No snow to speak of here yet.

I've had my KO2 out in snow a couple times this season and they've done great. I've run BFG AT KO and KO2 for about twenty five years, every one of those years in the snow. They've always performed well. The KO3 are supposed to be quite an improvement. So, run 'em and have fun.
