With black Friday deals popping up, I wanted to ask and get opinions about recovery gear. I'm looking for a couple of soft shackles, a kinetic rope, and a static tow rope. I would like to buy American made, but I will probably only use them 1 or 2 times a year to pull stranded motorists out and I just can't justify a $220 Yankum rope.

Has anyone seen any deals or have any suggestions for good value recovery ropes?

Factor 55 had a huge sale a few weeks ago - unfortunately I'm not seeing anything right now.

Dang. I just went to their website hoping to put my burner email account in for notifications, but nothing popped up. Oh well.

If you can't justify $200 for a kinetic rope then you probably dont actually need any recovery equipment. That is one of the cheaper and most useful pieces of equipment lol

You might try Rhino USA out of Murietta, CA. Owned by a father and his 2-sons. They have deals where you bundle 3 items, like in my case a 30’ tow strap, pair of soft shackles and a folding shovel. You get 15% off if you bundle three items. They will have Black Friday deals in the near future. They’re on Amazon, but I ordered direct off their website to get the 15% off.

Yeah gotta 2nd this. A soft shackle and a recovery rope is the basic necessities.

Also, somewhat unrelated, I've worked a bit with the load testing industry. I would absolutely not use any recovery equipment that doesn't have a rating tag on it, regardless of what it's advertised on Amazon, etc.
