Anyone know where to find this kind of setup? Was wondering if there was any sort of kit available.

Thinking it could be done with 2 light bar mounts attached to the ladder with quick fist clamp mounts and a standard flagpole.

The picture looks like they are using a pair of U-bolts.

If you're going to drive around with flags it really is best done with a full size pickup. Preferably lifted and diesel. If you can have some smoke from the exhaust that would be a nice touch. Don't forget to drive slower than the speed limit to hold up traffic behind you! Be sure to have your windows down with your arm hanging out to show the world your a tough guy who is ready for confrontation.

Then, you can feel like a big boy with a cool toy.

If you don't want to scuff up the ladder there's those window flags like this

I did not know that mounting a flag on a vehicle would cause so many emotions.

OP your easiest solution for pole mounting to your ladder is to use some properly sized u-bolts. Just be careful not to over tighten as the tube style ladders crush pretty easily when torqued. Learned that when I was making a fishing pole mount.

Anyway... here's mine. Not a ladder mount, but another idea.

I’m can’t really tell if this was meant as sincere comment or not. But, modern society seems to use flags in very informal manner compared to before…so I suppose it could be a sincere comment. In case it was…

For all of human history flags have been flown *precisely* because they can cause strong emotions. Flags are used to create feelings of pride and unity among people. They’re used denote affiliation, identity, and common ideals. Flags are used to draw lines in the sand and mark territory, and they’re used to rally rebellions.

It wasn’t long ago that soldiers bore flags into battle, flown high for all to see. A flag-bearer was willing to be the first to go down in battle because he knew that lifting his countrymen's emotions as they marched into battle was more important than his own life.

The coffins of fallen soldiers are draped in flags to communicate sorrow and honor.

A simple example that shows how strongly flags can cause emotions…There have been US laws in the past that prevented defacing the American flag. Why would it have been illegal to treat an American flag with disrespect? Well, basically because the disrespect causes deep emotional hurt to many, especially those who have been killed in battle protecting what the American flag represents.

But now, it’s accepted that defacing an American flag is considered freedom of speech. Why? Because flags are such a powerful way of emotionally communicating , that it’s considered a violation of the constitution to make laws that prevent people from displaying, altering, or defacing an American flag anyway they wish! The act of defacing an American flag is about the most powerful form of political speech there is! Because flags are able to communicate emotion.

That’s why people have the constitutional right to fly ragged US flags on their cars while dropping off garbage at the municipal dump, or to fly off-color special-interest American flags with special colored stripes, or to fly American flags co-level with a religious, or a political party flag, or even to fly a US flag with the image of someone’s face painted over the stars and stripes.

So yeah, flags do cause feelings. It’s the sole reason that’s flags have existed for ever and ever, whether its a a Viking flag, a pirate flag, a Sportsball flag, the American Flag, “Camacho for President” flag, or any weird combinations of the above lol. All of them, by design, are meant to cause various types and degrees of emotions!

That’s probably reason why this thread turned into a bit of a hubbub. Just a guess though lol.

I was specifically referring to my surprise of the high emotions of the flag mounted on a vehicle, rather than the symbology of the flag itself.

The thread reads a little differently than when originally posted, with all the timeouts given and such haha

Damn damn damn…feel like I always miss the wrath of the mods here…
Thank you mods for your time n consideration(lil brown nose but totally sincere)

on that note, side note time

    side note:
In this day n age, you have a reeeeeally good chance of offending someone…with anything
A flag might be a “big ol’ come fark with my truck” sign to some; however, if it’s for trails n stuff, your best easiest bet would be quickfist kinda guy or even the old latching double ring belt thingamajigs (you could just easily take it off then)
Just read @McSpazatron while typing this so yeah, what he said
