Hey all! I have a 40th Anniversary Edition and I've supercharged it with the Magnuson supercharger. Are the cold air intakes from AFE and comparable companies compatible? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

    Very cool super charger! Grats.

Can you do me a HUGE favor and take a few pics of the right side of the super charger including the space to the right to the fender? With multiple angles.

The space between the battery and the firewall. I've moved some stuff around there and am curious if that might impact a super charger install.

And how's the car feel now?

Too many..... Performance: • Magnusum Supercharger • Gibson exhaust with dual black tip • Pedal Commander * PowerBrakes • Suspension – Old Man Emu BP-51 front and back with Medium load coils • Tires: AT3 Faulken Wildpeak – 285/70/17 • Wheels: Relations Race Wheels, RR7-H with -12 offset • Full roof rack and ladder by Westcott Design (removed the stock Yakima basket) • Molle storage panels by Rago fabrication • Front light brackets by Rago • Illuminator light bracket by Rago (roof rack location) Lights • Morimoto front and back with sequential signals • Morimoto fog lights and side mirrors with sequential signals • 40” Baja design light bar for roof rack • 20” S8 Baja design driving combo (winch location) • Squadron sport baja design ditch lights • S2 Chase lights by baja designs (mounted on roof) In the bay: • Odyssey 34-PC Battery • SDQH Aluminum billet battery terminals and bracket • Switch Pro 9100 with aluminum tray • Anytime front and back camera • ARB twin compressor Recovery & Protection: • Smittybilt X20 synthetic rope winch • Factor 55 fairlead and flatlink • Southern Style Off-road (SSO) low profile bumper • SSO stage 2 high clearance wings • Weekend warrior recovery kit by treaty oak • RCI – skid plates – entire vehicle + catalytic converter protection wings Interior: • Nano Ceramic IR – Avery Dennison Window tint – all windows • Several phone mounts • Upgraded Rear Hatch lift gate struts (ladder is heavy) • Boom blaster horn switch (featuring La cucaracha)
I am not sure....but the plumbing might not be compatible as it connects to the lines that go into the throttle. Magnuson says to keep everything stock because most likely their hoses around the intake system are sized for the stock unit and not aftermarket CAI. Just my 2c.

There's a blower specific intake from AFE.

I have the AFE intake. My TRD wouldn’t fit (or so I was told).

I will let you know, i'm in the middle of my SC install now. Think i can get the TRD to work, may have to extend the fresh air and vacuum lines to feed from the front.

i had same concern as you about the heat exchanger coolant tank on the magnuson taking so much space on the the driver fenderwall side. I have my ARB compressor mounted back there with a big electrical system and know there's no way i could fit everything......looked around for tank brackets, or if anyone had relocated it and came across this FIGS Engineering tank thats a direct fit but mounts up out of the way. you could also use this tank and mount it wherever and just run some longer hoses

Here ya go! The only thing I could see that might need to be rerouted would be the intercooler lines that come out of the back top side of the supercharger. Lines run between the battery and the engine. As for how it feels it's a HUGE difference. If I drive gently I get better gas mileage and if need to pass someone it's much easier and the little whine of the supercharger is HIGHLY addicting lol.
