Hi there, I've been noticing for some time now that there's an small rattling coming from under the dash area on the driver side, hard to be describe or recorded. Was wondering if any of yall have or had heard something similar. It's really not loud and happens when moving. Any idea?? Taking it to the dealership is the least of my options for several reasons.

On my 2022 4Runner I had a rattle behind the passenger side vent and in the moonroof area, they scratched the dash prying it open and put felt tape as their “fix”

another guy on Reddit had the same issue and the same fix he said his rattle came back with a vengeance I sold mine because I’m too ocd anal to deal with rattles like that

I've had two rattles that I fixed. First was where the plastic pillar caps touch the windshield on the outside. Put some thin weather stripping there so it doesn't vibrate against the glass. Second was where the latch mechanism inside the door was rattling against the post thingy it closes around on the door frame. A layer of electrical tape fixed that.

Sorry to hear that, definitely dealership are a problem. I'm not too extreme ocd but it bothers me for sure. I'll keep digging

The dealership will not do anything on it. That is if they can even hear it.
It could be a number of things or nothing.
Check for A pillar moulding piece rubbing against glass.
Loose clips on engine splash guards inside the wheel well.
    Loose mud flaps.
Poke your head below the dash and tap a few things to see if there is any loose connector, wires, plastic panels.

At this point I rather prefer to find the rattle source and keep it than trying those new toyotas. Lots of money and reliability sounds questionable.

I had a painful buzz/rattle on my '22 ORP that took me over 2 years to locate. Finally figured it out.... it was the hinged cover for the single USB port that was vibrating against the plastic overhang on the dash when the cover was open. I felt like I won the lottery when I finally found it.

These rattles aren't a joke, can be a real pain in the butt.
