The dealer I bought my 2024 from on 9/30/24 has told me there are no more allocations
to N. America for the 5th gen. An online search shows a small number left at dealers with none
listed as "in transit". This appears to be the last chance for anyone wanting a new one. My
TRD Pro has a production date of 8/24 and the last of the VIN is 308083. This number is higher
than that on any of the remaining unsold TRD Pro versions which is evidence production
    actually ended in August.

    308083 seems very new.
The TRD Pro VINs at dealership near my house are 307571, 306321, 304215, 306077.

    • Yes, there is a sixth generation Toyota 4Runner, which will be available in the United States in late 2024:
      • Features:The 2025 4Runner has a new drivetrain, engine, and 8-speed transmission. It also has a Stabilizer Bar Disconnect Mechanism that allows the vehicle to flex while maintaining tire contact with the terrain.

    • Platform:The 6th generation 4Runner shares a platform with the Toyota Tundra, Tacoma, and Sequoia.

    • Design:The 2025 4Runner has a rugged, purpose-built style with a wrap-over quarter glass that pays homage to the first two generations of 4Runners.

    • Dimensions:The 2025 4Runner is 195 inches long with a 112-inch wheelbase.

    • Tires:The 4Runner comes with 33-inch Toyo Open Country all-terrain tires.

    • Accessories:The 4Runner has pre-wired auxiliary switches for mounting more accessories, a high-mounted air intake, steel skid plates, and color-selectable Rigid LED fog lamps.

    • Power:The 4Runner has a new i-FORCE MAX hybrid motor that produces 326 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque.

You are correct that the 6th gen is coming soon. My comments were meant for those who might
be of the opinion that the 5th gen T4R will be the last of the simple/reliable trucks Toyota makes
    for the NA market.

The bad news is that with that configuration the price tag is going to be at $70K

My son showed me a listing for a new Tacoma at $65K. They are way out of my reach now

Just for shits and giggles, I was looking at a Lexus LS550, as the point came up that there are not many 2023 GX's left. I can't believe that the LS550's are now $115,000!!!! I loved them when they first came out, when listed for $48,000. It's amazing how much cars go up over the years.

    Cheers,

    Sean

I'm surprised they let a gap form - dealers out of 2024 4Runners... waiting on 2025 4Runners. Sure, they may lose a few bucks selling "leftover" '24s if '25s are on the lot, but not having a car to sell that day just runs counter to the mindset of car dealers.

    5th Gen Dimensions:The 2024 4Runner is 191.3 inches long with a 109.8-inch wheelbase.

Jeez...why do these things have to keep getting bigger? The 5th gen is almost too big already...

Agreed, going from 3rd gen to 5th gen I still feel like I'm in this great BIG thing.

Yep, and if they can produce and sell enough (higher dollar) Lexus and LCs to make up for a gap in Runners while they ramp up on shared parts it might not hurt them. The delay certainly isn't ideal though.

Damn. The 200 Series Land Cruiser is 195" long with a 112.2" wheelbase, and 77.9" wide. That's almost exactly the same size as a 6th Gen 4Runner.

I'm starting to think Toyota signed a 30-year-long contract with their car modeling clay supplier.

I would think they need time to do an engineering change to build the 2025 units. When the Tacoma came out it took a few months for them to change everything over, retool, and get up and running. I would think Tahara would be quicker than most though since they already changed over for the LandCruiser etc. They were making the new LandCruiser with the 4banger along side the 2024 4Runner on the same line

I checked few Land cruiser window stickers and they seems to be build in Hino factory.

I'm trying to find a window sticker of Land cruiser with Land cruiser trim to see if its made in Toyota Tahara factory.

    Edit -

Land cruiser in Land Cruiser trim also showing its build in Hino factory

$115,000 used to be the price of a well equipped S-class. Sorry but Lexus cannot compete with a Mercedes-Benz S-class. That’s why they cannot sell it.

I was in a Toyo dealership a couple of weeks ago and they had a new Sequoia (platinum+offroad trim) on the floor with an $84k sticker + $6k ceramic and ppf +10k ADM.... = $100k. I just about shat myself. This is what things cost now apparently.

I don’t understand why more people don’t want to pay north of $60k for a newly designed pickup or SUV with a lot of tech and a new engine design that does not have a proven history?

$100k seems high but I have seen Jeep Wranglers for $112k, Ford F-150 Raptors for 160k, Suburbans for 115k, and Jeep Grand Wagoneers for 120k. I see these driving every day where I live
still on their paper plates so people are buying them. Some people have more money than sense.
