Hello everyone,I recently got my TRD Pro and I am the happiest dude in the world!!!

One little problem-just installed Low Profile front bumper with winch-now have alert on dashboard saying "Pre-Collision System" sensor blinks on and off...Manual says-recalibrate sensor at Toyota dealer...

Is there something else I can do besides going to dealer? Is this a big issue?

Hopefully it’s not a big issue. Double check your work, make sure you plugged in the sensor all the way, and check for damage to the harness/wires. I recall pinching some of those wires when disassembling/reassembly. I got worried I damaged them, but I lucked out. No errors after bumper install and after a 2.5/1.5 lift.

Just checking up on your PCS issues. I am dealing with the same PCS alert (malfunction). Installed a C4 lo pro bumper w/ full height bull bar. According to C4 fab site it was tested and is compatible with 4Runners 2022 and newer. I might have to visit the dealer to have it checked too.

From the pic it looks like the bar is blocking it. No?

As mentioned in the post above, do not block any portion of that sensor cover.

Assuming not all 4Runners are the same. C4 fab claims it’s compatible with 22’ SR5, OR, Pro and up equipped with PCS along w/ MTM. I followed their install instructions and adjusted bumper to highest setting. Any suggestions is greatly appreciated.

Try backing of the depth the sensor is reading. On the column menu you can adjust how far it senses an obstacle in front of you. I think you can just turn it off as well

Tried your suggestions prior to post. Also tried several YouTube suggestions by installing washers behind sensor mounting screws. Malfunction alert still pops up.

Not helpful to your original question but these sensors are a pita. Mine tends to get screwy and confused in the fall when a wet leaf or something gets stuck to it.

Ok. I have nothing more. Please let us know how you ultimately ended up resolving it. It does look really nice.

Made appt. with dealer to check on PCS malfunction. Update to follow… sensitive sensors ( made in China).

I’m sure you’ve called C4. What are they saying? I’d be a little pissed that you did everything and followed the instructions and are having these issues

Can you just ignore it? Does it affect drivability like limp mode or anything?

I’d rather not have these features operational on my 4R

I noticed mine goes off when off roading. If this guy is like me, I can’t stand any lights or messages on my cluster. Drives me nuts. Plus I think it’s principal for him. He installed it correctly and it’s not working like C4 said it would.

My all stock 2020 does this - the PCS warning light comes on after maybe 30 min. on the highway. It's odd, I can drive around town all day, and it's fine. But 30 min. at 70 mph and the light comes on. That happens whether I use cruise control or not. But, the cruise control doesn't work when the PCS warning light comes on.

The bumper/grille is stock and usually spotless.

I have C4's relocation bracket and I'm still getting the occasional light pop on. I've adjusted the sensor every which way and it still comes on at random times. There's no rhyme or reason behind it that I can see. It goes off pretty quickly, but I'd like it to work as advertised. I would take it in to be recalibrated at the dealer but have low hopes they'd do anything considering the aftermarket parts.

Did they replace it under warranty?
