I'm trying to find some light weight 17" wheels to replace the 20" wheels from the limited

but the chrome accents are just so ugly and throwing the color coordination off. Going full chrome wheels to match all the chrome accents seem too obnoxious, so kinda hoping to see some inspirations from others who put aftermarket wheels on their limited

If you don’t want black wheels, which there are tons of options, I like the trd Offroad wheels. They’re 17x7.5 and weigh at least 10lb less each. Color scheme is similar to the limited wheels.

Toyota LOVES chrome for some reason, despite the fact that it went out of style in the 80's.

I’ve actually got a set of the trd bronze wheels which came on my Venture. I’m a fan of black so switched to those and still have the bronze wheels about to go up for sale.

Here’s a better picture when they were on the truck. They look great but I’m just not a fan of the bronze against the color of my truck.

Yep, I got 17x7.5 TRD ORP wheels with 285/70R17 tires on my Limited. Since mine is Silver, TRD ORP wheels matched (I think).

If it was a different color I might have to settle with, maybe 17x7 TRD Pro wheels with max 275/70R17 tires as TRD Pro wheels not approved for 285s or go with an aftermarket wider wheel if I have to get 285s.

Bronze wheels work great on a black runner.

    That looks great.

There are thousands of Toyota’s out there with 7” TRD Pro rims and 285’s.

I went black 17” TRD Pro for my Limited in the MGM color. I like it. The 20” rims are ridic heavy. Plus serve no purpose but looks.

And the TRDs are affordable. I got all 4 from a Toyota dealer, shipped plus tax for $719.

Agree re the chrome. It's a bit much. That's one of the reasons I like the look of matte TRD Pro wheels on the Limited, instead of the shiny OEM rims. Creates a more balanced look overall.

I put TRD OR Wheels on my Blizzard Pearl White Limited and 17" Gray TRD wheels on my Silver Limited.
You can see pictures of these in this thread - post #23.

    https://www.4runners.com/threads/what-4runner-model-options-to-buy….25746/#post-345788

On the Limited the AWD system creates some parasitic drag and the 20" Wheels (40lbs) and tires are heavy with a lot of rotational mass that is pushed out to the wheel edge.
Changing out the wheels and tires on my both of my Limited's to a OR and TRD wheel weighting in at 25lbs - lightened up each corner by ~15lbs, this was a noticeably improvement in responsiveness and braking.

I was able to sell both sets of my 20" OEM wheels and tires on ebay for $1,000.

I personally think the bronze wheels are butt ugly however it depends if you like goldfish wheels on your runner :-//

To each their own with all due respect. Personally I think the bronze wheels look great on some Runners, white and blue mostly although I’ve seen some black Runners that look good too.

I agree with everyone has their own opinions/likes. I just think the polished aluminum/chrome is a classic, and if I ever used mine off-road, I would go darker:), but Im a boulevard cruiser 9 months of the year, but when snow hits, black would be easier to keep clean

I know this an old thread but I’m looking looking at upgrading my wheel and tire package for Limited. Wondering what is the wheel and tire spec you are running? Love this look . Very clean for the limited.

Hello , I just put some 17” TRD Pro’s with falken 265/70/17 AV4 tires, with stock height on my 5th Gen Limited. I decided to go this route after reading numerous threads on here. Thanks to all. So far I am happy. In reverse, drivers side, full wheel lock - I do get some rubbing. I fixed that with my trustee oscillator saw :) My son says the front is really low…lol

I agree..... and not only does Toyota go out of their way to put it on the exterior, they plaster the interior with a ton of chrome finished and shiny silver plastic that makes me want to scream
