Extended bump stops needed with 1.25" spacers to not hit fender?

Everyone says I will be hitting the fenders at full compression with what I'm wanting. Could I add extended bump stops on the front and rear to save my fenders? I really want the aggressive stance where the tires site just outside the fender edge. Even if that costs me a little suspension travel.

17x9 wheel 0 offset
285/70/17 Toyo Open Country AT3
1.25" Spidertrax spacers
BMC and Fender trimming as needed

 

Stock wheel offset is +15mm. 0mm wheel and 1.25" spacer means your new tire will be steering over a 1.85" wider arc. You will be cutting your fenders and bumper cover aggressively to clear the tires anyway, so cut proportionally at the top

 

I'm aware I was going to be doing a lot of cutting. My concern was at full compression banging into the top of the fender and if extended bump stops front and back would fix that

 

Personally I would ditch the spacers and keep the extra travel. You will be on them more often which will make the ride harsh.

 

It'll be city driven 95% of the time with some remote camping sprinkled throughout the year. I know it sounds silly but I just have to have that wide stance lol.

 

Nah broseph. Plenty of RR crossings and dips that will cause full compression on the daily.

Yeah, give it a good, long re-think. Maybe even ask on this forum and elsewhere for people who've done what you want to do, and for the same reasons. Then ask about any regrets they had/have.

 

Yes, and it would be a worthwhile upgrade anyway as the stock bump stops are hard as hockey pucks.

 

I'd say do it...chop/cut and bump stop your way to your ideal setup without delay. The sooner you mod it like you want it, the longer you'll be able to enjoy it. I have the 1.25" Spidertrax on mine and love the wider stance.
