    None yet.
Has anyone had to have the timing cover gaskets repaired on their 4runner and if so how it’s been doing after the repair? How many miles at repair and what the current mileage is.

I was just told by the dealership that my 2016 4Runner with 152k miles needs to be repaired for this reason. There’s no oil leaking on my pavement. The same dealership told me the same thing about my 2006 Tundra at around the same mileage. I didn’t have it repaired and it’s still not using/leaking oil many years and miles later.

It will cost you around $4500 to have your timing cover gasket replaced at the dealer. It's an over 15 hour job. The entire top end has to be removed and chances are something else will start leaking.
If you are no losing excessive oil between oil changes and your entire lower engine is not covered in oil and dripping, forget about it.
Clean it with a degreaser, use HM oil to help with the seals and top up the oil between changes as needed.

Find where it’s leaking, clean and degrease it really well and cover it with Hondabond or Permatex RTV.

Front timing cover leaks on GR series V6’s usually manifest either early on (under 30k mi), which typically will require immediate attention under warranty, or much later, as weeping or a slow leak.

If the leak is very light or hardly noticeable, and you monitor levels regularly, I would put off any major repairs because as mentioned above, the cost out of pocket is a bear. Generally speaking, it’s not wholly uncommon for high mileage Toyotas to leak a little as the years roll by.

I have tried to pinpoint mine but damn it's congested on passenger side of the engine. I suspect it's above the P/S pump as that is where most of the oil ends up.

It's that gasket I mentioned yesterday. Clean and replace. I did mine and it took care of that leak. Was told my timing cover was leaking.

That's awesome! What high mileage oil are you using? My oil change is due and I am at 190k.

I use Mobil 1 Extended Performance High Mileage. Change at 4k or so.

Using the same Mobil 1 for past 100k miles change every 5k miles. However, bought Valvoline high mileage max life for the first time . Heard good things about it for seals. Let's see how it goes.
