Hi all, I have a 2013 4Runner which has ran flawlessly. Close to 118k miles. Anyway earlier today I noticed some staining in my driveway. Looked underneath and saw some clear “staining” on the undercarriage. Popped the hood and noticed more at the line/hose in the picture. I can’t tell what type of fluid it is. Definitely oily to touch. Seems like the connection may be where it leaking from. Of course it’s the weekend and no shops are open. I’m also not the most mechanically inclined. Thanks for the help in advance
**Edit: it’s the bottom of the two lines I believe is leaking. Picture makes it seem like it’s the top one which it isn’t.**

    Oooh look, another mod.....
Based on the picture you posted, it looks like you're leaking coolant. Did it smell kind of sweet and was the fluid pink-ish or clear? Check the temp gauge on your truck, the needle should be at or below the middle line. If it's higher, then we've found the problem.

Clean the area and see if it keeps leaking. If it does, is it slow or constant?

Thank you. I guess it was somewhat clear-ish. Prob picked up some color off what it leaked onto. Engine temp has not changed from what I remember seeing. What a pain.

    It's a long list...

It's not likely to be coolant. If it was Toyota coolant (assuming that is what is in there) and it dried anywhere you would have pink chalk-like stains. It looks like the hardline for the power steering rack is leaking, or it is spraying from the hose/line junction towards that area. The junction between the hard line and rubber hose looks more dry so spray may be what is going on. Please see the attached annotated photo and OEM diagram. Looks like a line replacement, and power steering fluid drain and fill are in your future.

The updated line part number is 44406-60021 (please double check this is correct for your vehicle year before ordering), and it comes with both rubber hoses on either end. Should be around $100 +/- $10 at the stealership.
