Undercoated the 4Runner today (myself). When I came back home later that day I found this rubber piece sitting on the driveway where the 4Runner was when I left.. Kicker is, wife also has a Toyota Sienna, she came home during the time I was gone and I saw this piece in the driveway. So it could be either of our vehicles.

Anyone have a sweet clue where this part came from and what purpose it serves?

Assuming there is a name and a part #, did you search the interWebz?

I did. Can’t really make it out. I’ve confirmed it came from the Sienna tho by reviewing the security camera

    Oooh look, another mod.....
That looks like an engine mount. When I did a Google Lens lookup on your picture, that's the direction it pointed me in. Which adds up. Crawl underneath the wife's Sienna and see if one is missing.

Yeah, it's a Toyota damper of some sort, but I can't read the first part of the number. The NR/SBR means it's rubber, the last part of the number is a Toyota part, just not sure which one.

How could this even have come off? That means the entire bolt of had to come undone.. I’m gonna have to crawl under this thing tomorrow. I’m quite intrigued now

I looked at the pics again, in your hand. It's too small for a body mount, I think. I still can't read the numbers, so I think it's a bumper "isolator".

Well, I'm sorry to keep blowing up your thread, but I keep getting what looks like a body mount of some sort, from a 2010 - 2022 4Runner.

It’s not a 4Runner part.. well it could be but didn’t come off my rig. I watched the security camera.. when I left driveway had nothing. She returned and backed up and this thing was sitting in front of the van..

Then I would look at the right rear bumper area.

Why what’s there? Something to do with the exhaust/isolators?

This is the numbers, the first may not be a A. May just be 1. And the last 6 may be a 8. Its 1.5” in diameter.

This is it.. my part has those dimples as well.. but mine doesnt have the bottom piece that closes it up with just a bolt hole. Is is fully open (larger circle)

so where does this go, lol? I checked the camera again and it is infact of the 4Runner.

You were right, made in Japan. See post above yours for location. You'll see, right in front of the rear tire.

Crawled under the 4Runner the body mount looks massive compared to this and all looks in order.. I don’t see anything missing..

This what the body mount looks like on the 4Runner.. not my photo but from the internet. This thing I have is tiny compared to what’s actually in the rig..

Actually it is. We got the part #, was posted a few posts below.

It may be #4? I looked under it and the rear cross brace goes across and there is a void there between it and the cab.. oddly enough it’s like that on the other side too so I can’t confirm if I’m looking in the right spot.. but that’s only place I could see where this goes.. I will admit Toyota part number the way they represent them on the illustrations is horrendous and not very intuitive.

Anyone able to take a pic for me from under the rig in that area #4? It’s easily visible just ahead of the spare wheel. I’m curious what that area looks where the mounts are supposed to be.. I see a bolt there but curious if the rubber goes there or not because nothing looks off to me. Both left and right look the same on mine so I can’t compare ‍♂️

So I’ve crawled under again to take a look. And where this part is supposed to go *i think* there is no way to tighten the bolt to install a new one as the frame is in the way and the frame doesn’t have a access holes (like the photo I posted ) to get to the bolt from below. It almost seems like you’d have undo a bunch of body points and lift the cab to tighten this particular support to the body.

    Has anyone replaced these?
