I have a new black ORP coming in this weekend to replace my '22 black ORP. I already bought Yota X's matte black front and rear valances. I struggled with OEM (black gloss) vs the YotaX (black matte). My inbound 4R has the emblem blackout kit (matte), but the center grill crossbar that comes on the truck is gloss.

Now I'm having thoughts on matte vs gloss for the front valance. I haven't been able to find a pic of a black ORP with the stock grill and a matte black valance.

Curious to any thoughts on the subject or if anyone has a pic of a black ORP with the stock grill with a matte black valance installed.

For the 3 years that I owned my black '22 ORP not a day went by that I didn't procrastinate about getting rid of the silver valances..... so I just want to make sure I get it right to my liking this time around.

Matt... thank you so much. a picture is worth a 1000 words. Is your 4R black or blue? I'd guess it was black but it almost looks blue in that light. I think the matte valance looks good on it. I assume you agree? Or would you swap it for gloss if you had the chance now?

Another option would be to have your valances wrapped with black vinyl. The wrap would offer chip protection.

I dont know him well but this guy is in my local fb group and I noticed the other day his center bar was matte. I kind of like the custom look without just slapping a pro grill on it. I assume its wrapped but I could probably find outScreenshot_20241011_081328_Instagram.jpg

I think that is an aftermarket overlay..... like the black emblem overlays. Bumpershellz makes them. If I decide to keep the matte valance, I might end up buying one to lessen the overall gloss vs matte contrast.

Not black but here’s the factory valence on a 24 Underground. Labor Day sale was 25% off at the dealer with no shipping charges.
