I saw a post from a while back about giving out frogs or little Yodas instead of ducks like the Jeep community. I have been giving these out for a few months now and have been met with 99% positive response. I did have one lady positively flip right out! That's another story.

I make them out of scrap wood from my lazer cutting machine and the chains I got off Amazon, super cheap.

If I see a 5th gen 4runner I will give the driver one and wish them a good day and safe travels. I don't ask them to join the group or ask them about their cars warranty ;)

Right now I'm in the Belleville IL. area but I travel a lot so if you come out and find one on your rig or some guy walks up and hands you one it's probably me :)

I think they look better than a bunch of rubber ducks sitting on your dash 20241007_143356.jpg

What's the story with the lady going apeshit?

I saw a 4runner sitting in a parking lot as I walked up to it I noticed it was running. From about 12-15 feet away I waved at the driver. She rolled her window down and I said "hello". As I approached i had the key chain held at arms length. The lady screeched "what is it!" I said it's a key chain. She screamed "this is my daughters car! I'm legally blind! Your going to have to wait for her to come back!" OK have a good day. I picked up my groceries and she was still there when I came out.

I did thinking was odd, if you are blind how did you see me waving and why are you sitting in the drivers seat? Any way not judging but I found it a little odd.

Cool. My wife got me a metal keychain one a few years back. Personally, I don't know if I would want to start handing them out though. I'm inclined to let the Jeep guys do their "Jeep thing" and otherwise stay out of it.
