I have a 2024 TRD Pro and when I am driving at night I constantly get flashed by people thinking my brights are on. Havent had this problem with my 2019 or 2023 4Runner. I am impressed with the light output of the 2024 headlights but I will clearly have to make an adjustment to the angle of the beam. Has anyone else had this issue?

Every night. I believe when we hit bumps or rises in the road, people think we are flashing them.

I had to adjust mine down to compensate for the vehicle bouncing and hills since it seemed that it was adjusted to be right where it’s supposed to be on perfectly level ground and that goes out the window in actual driving.

Unfortunately anyone caught downhill is going to suffer but angling it down (#2 phillips screwdriver is used) helps a lot.

I can’t comment on why this one and not the 2023, maybe the extra height?

There’s a Phillips style adjustment on each side. Point headlights at a wall or garage door at night and adjust them down

I have never seen headlight aim being adjusted in any factory tour and in any assembly plant video. This goes for Toyota, Honda, Ford, VW... So assume it doesn't get done and you'll have to do it yourself.

I have no idea how 4Runner headlights are street legal. They are absolutely too bright to be installed on such tall truck without auto-leveling. We are blinding people when driving at night.

You can apply lightly tinted film to headlights or aim them down more.

My wife's MDX is a lot brighter than the 4runner, those need to be adjusted. I can say I have not been flashed for my lights on my 23 Pro, and sadly it's been years since I've been flashed at all.

Used to constantly get flashed by other drivers it got to be pretty infuriating. I started flashing them back haha.

That was with Bilstein 6112's at the lowest setting, after I installed 2.5" lift springs in the rear I haven't had a single person flash their brights at me. Truck has quite the rake, it looks awesome but Im still not sure if its too much rake and negatively affecting drivability.

I have even adjusted the headlights much higher than they were before and still haven't had anyone flash me since.

I prefer to use the adjustment nut vs the phillips screw. I adjust to my comfort level of visibility, the distance on the road where I like to keep my cut off line, not because of the people who stare into other peoples headlights like animals.

I believe the difference is that 2024 Headlights are all LED and 2023 still used halogen.

I adjusted the headlights downward and so far so good.

I upgraded my 2020 to 2024 LED headlights and still think they are too dim.

You cannot apply tinted film legally anywhere I'm aware of and headlights aimed too far down endanger yourself and anyone else you would need to see at distance. Set them properly and leave it at that.

Everyone is blinding everyone because of how LEDs work and because nobody gets in trouble for LED bulbs in reflector housings.

Same thing as me. People were constantly flashing their lights and middle finger at me. I went to a local school and used their wall and marked 3 ft up. Mine were shooting incredibly high. Came to this forum and people were kind enough to walk me through how to lower them. It’s super easy. I just brought some tape and stuck it to the school wall. Then made the adjustments. Now nobody gets mad at me.

I have a 2021 ORP. I wish people would only flash their lights. Around here, people just turn their brights on instead. It happens all the time, and it's incredibly annoying.
