Searched the forum but haven’t come across this particular issue for a rear wiper. Rear wiper will only work on intermittent setting. Turn to on and get nothing. Spray does not work either. I am hoping the stalk is the issue. This is a 2016 sr5.

I haven't heard of that, either. Hopefully it's an easy fix.

Update. Changed the stalk and fuses. No change in the rear wiper. The pump is not turning on when sprayer is engaged. Washer fluid level is full.

Update: Had to take vehicle in for SRS light. Dealership is saying switch is bad. They want $491 to change it out…no thank you. Given I have already put in a new switch…either the new switch I got is bad or there is something in the contacts not making connection. No sure my next step.

Did you install an OEM Toyota switch or aftermarket?

That's good - and it pretty much eliminates a faulty (right out of the box) aftermarket switch.

Have you inspected the wiring where it passes from the vehicle to the hatch? Some older 4Runners had issues with chafed wiring there.

I have not. Dealership did say they were able to activate it with their tablet.

I’d be interested to know exactly what they mean by that. For example, does activating by tablet exercise the entire circuit? Or simply the motor itself?

So the issue is the wiper only works on intermediate. According to them, they were able to activate wiper and sprayer through tablet or computer. I would assume it operates the circuit thus ruling out the switch. ‍:notsure:
