What type / brand of tire shine are some of you guys or gals using and happy with?

I want to go for more of a satin (duller) look, NOT high / shiney gloss.

Longevity of the product would also help- something that doesn’t wash off too easily. Any suggestions appreciated.

P.S. My sidewalls are all black- NO white lettering. My tires white letters are turned inboard.

You're going to get a huge swath of answers. Detailing products are numerous, with many options. Many products balance application ease with longevity.

Personally I use Groits Black Satin. The application is easy, doesn't sling if given a decent time to dry and hasn't damaged my wheels.

It doesn't last very long, and needs periodic applications, but the tires remain black for an acceptable amount of time. Oh, and the cans are relatively cheap at about 10 bucks for ~8-10 applications on 33" tires.

I started using Dawn Platinum power wash, spray it on and leave it for a few minutes and you can see the soap working. It leaves a little bit of shine.

I just got a new tire shine but forgot who makes it. Probably Armorall with some ceramic in it. This stuff stays on through anything, it's been on for well over a month and looks wet still.

Ill have to confirm the name, but it is a little shiny vs satin. It's also a little sticky to the touch but nothing sticks to it. lol

It’s what I use like that it’s not shiny, hate the shiny looks.

Meguiars hot shine, the can says high gloss but trust me spray it on the tires as the first step in your wash so that it has time to soak, wash the truck and wheels normally scrubbing the tires last, rinse & dry and the tires come out a really nice flat black.

Really only need to use it once or twice or as needed the tires will keep that black for a while.

Excuse my lack of experience in detailing but what’s the purpose of the tire shine? Especially on a 4Runner.

I like it for tire preservation, and before i got rid of my wife it was good to protect against damage when she hit curbs.

Depends on the driver. When completing a wash/wax, I prefer finishing the "look" with some tire shine - the Griot's satin product I mentioned above.

Let's talk about how you got rid if your wife. How much did it cost and did you find a better model with lower miles?
And you know why divorce is so expensive? Because it's worth it.

A lot of tire shines actually dry out the tires. Especially the aerosol ones.

Water beads off the Griots Black Satin and it lasts a long time. After the initial application the shine wears off. Tires look nice.
