The beaches are bad lots of sand to clean up, anywhere close to the water and the bay had some terrible flooding. Anywhere Inland is ok

Hold onto your butts, my Florida peeps. Keep yourselves safe from Hurricane Milton.

They're kicking us out of work for Wednesday and Thursday.

I think I’m reading the storm as reached “biblical” proportions. 4th strongest all time.

Hey man, I’m not friend of MSM but uh… this could completely destroy anywhere is land. It’s going to look like a parking lot after… you think they blew out Asheville proportion out of proportion?

I think when the storm does an eye replacement it tends to weaken a bit. They say that but they also didn’t see it getting to a Cat 5 they thought it was gonna be a 1-2 the entire time.

think the last track I saw had it high cat 3/cat 4 strength. as ThomasL said, it will go through eyeball replacement cycles, which will weaken it, but also tends to make the overall storm larger.

Yes, it weakens but the storm widens, also it looks like it shifted south slightly to Bradenton from St Pete. My job’s supposed to be open the whole time but I have a feeling we may be closed Thursday.

Snow bird here. We are located in Ft Meyers. Yeah, we got here Saturday and it’s like….welcome to Florida we would like you to meet Milton. We are here until March so am interested if anyone meets up to off road. We were in Moab Utah doing some incredible off roading before heading here.

When you build a house you put down a 5 foot mound to build on with a 10 foot garage on the bottom?

We stayed for every hurricane since Matthew here on the beach, even though we're 1/10th of a mile from the beach.
Tetris'ed that plane in there, didn't he?

Hey guys, I’m in Delray Beach and want to upgrade my tires. Would anyone be interested in a 4 set of Dueler HT with 2000 miles? I would do local pick up from Ft Lauderdale to Stuart.

Trying to put a feeler out for them!

How'd everyone do for Hurricane Milton? We're good. No power for now. On septic so we can't flush. (Try to imagine the mirth and joy of that situation, but got it figured out.) Had a tree come down in the backyard which will get cut up over the next few weekends. (Neighbor is so overjoyed tree fell down he offered to come over with a chainsaw and help us.) Got about 2" of water in the house on the one side.

Depending on which end of the street you were on you either got major flooding, minimal flooding, or nothing.

It's all good. At least this wasn't anything like the people in NC, SC, TN, GA received. Going back to my hometown of St. Pete at the end of this month to see the havoc wrecked upon the beaches.

Thank you to those who checked in with me.

OH...and a big shoutout to the 400W plug in the 4Runner, which supplied just enough power to do some tree cleanup in the backyard so the septic guy can get back there at some point today.
