Toyota App Update: Lost all of my personal maintenance entries

My Toyota app updated the other day on my iPhone and after logging in, I noticed that all of the regular maintenance that I had personally logged in is GONE! Only dealership stuff shows up now. Anyone have or notice this issue? It completely sucks. I had years of stuff logged in there. Thanks, Toyota!

 

That sometimes appears to be the case for me, but it always comes back a short time after I log in again.

I've noticed that being able to update maintenance via the web site often breaks for a month or two, and the same is true for the app.

Anyway, your data is almost certainly still there and will reappear before long. Good luck!

 

Any other way you can check the data? If you can view it on the site, I’d try that to see if it’s available “upstream”

I occasionally export my Fuelly logs too just in case, so if you have the option, a backup would be nice.

 

By the way, I'd bet my next paycheck that the problem with the website is that the VIN isn't getting correctly propagated to the necessary child processes.

 

Good to know. This is the first time all that info is gone and it was immediately after the Toyota app update was run. Will keep trying, but so far, nothing.

 

Have you looked at the website? It accesses the same data.

You might have to enter your VIN manually at first.

 

I've had that happen a couple times and it comes back later. After the 2nd time, I started using the Carfax app as a backup and so that maintenance info will be on the Carfax whenever the time comes to sell it.

 

Yes. I've tried. Says the site is down. It loads on the app, but again, all the info I had personally logged is gone. Only dealer maintenance shows now.
