I just compared it to some 8 awg wire I have and the Toyota one is slightly thicker, so I’m thinking it’s 8 awg which is good. Now my issue is, I have to figure out how the signal wires work with the inverter. Both connectors have to be plugged into the inverter for the inverter dash switch light to power on. What id like to be able to do is have the dash switch turn on the Orion, be full power whether stopped or moving, and power off when the car turns off.

The plug pops out so I can replace this port with an Anderson connection. I’m gonna have 2 x 100W Solar panels on top of my rooftop tent, racking, so be good to have the connection also come out this port.

Ya know my bad dude. I just popped the cover off that plastic to compare it to 8 gauge and it's 8 gauge.

Not only that though but the wires you buy (and I "upgraded" to) are thin so they bend easier. Toyota uses thicker wire that doesn't bend as well. This thick wire conducts better and has less resistance. So you are using better wire than I am and it's safer.

Thx for this. I had seen this awhile ago, but that was before I got into taking stuff apart, so at that time I had no idea what I was looking at (I think I still don’t, lol).

Is the connector circled in red a standard connector? I would like to tap that to get a higher amperage for my Anker Solix F1500 when I don’t have solar energy. I would prefer to insert a connector rather than actually tap the 8 AWG wires.

Sorry I don't think I answered this. I completely ripped out the stock inverter, ran new wire for the aftermarket one and put it on a different switch(ripped out the factor inverter button) so being in neutral or Drive is not longer applicable for me.

You could use the cigarette lighter adaptor for your power bank and get the 60 watts or what ever it does. That way you don't have to mod anything.

Standard Connector? it's the factory harness and going to be specific to the factory inverter. Maybe they reuse that connector on some other stuff. I think it's a proprietary Toyota connector.
