2002 4Runner 4x2

I've found a 2002 Limited 4x2 4Runner with 170.000 miles in excellent shape. Only 2 owners, great service history, timing belt, water pump and battery just replaced. Frame in perfect condition and after pre purchased inspection, reports shows everything in very clean condition. The seller lives in my neighborhood and I know he and his daughter has been driving the car for over 17 years and perfect maintenance. Asking price $13,500, but we might close for $10,000. I know it might me a little high, but consider the condition of the car, still seems like a fair deal. I know 4x2 is not as popular as 4x4, but I really would never use a 4x4 in my town. Thoughts? Comments?

 

Welcome to the forum, this is just my opinion, but i think the price is high as it’s not 4x4. But as always eye of the beholder.

Agree, seems high for a 2002. Something that’s 22 years old can be in perfect shape, yet still need everything (specifically any rubber bits).

Nothing wrong with a 2wd, but that means it probably best to view it as having the value of any other 2002 toyota. I don’t think it would command the same prices as a 4x4.
