GOOD DAY! I have been searching thru the forums, and I see that alot of people have the MOTOROLA dongle. Has anyone purchased any other brand? Some of the ones on AMAZON just plug into the USB port, without the need of the cable. Also, if the phone connects to the dongle via Bluetooth, does that affect volume control? On a previous post, I was informed bluetooth compresses the audio. Screenshot_20240826_225327_Amazon Shopping.jpg The picture is just for reference. Thank you

I bought two of these. One for my son's Tacoma and one for my DIL's Rav4. My son has an iPhone and my DIL uses Android.
Installed both in about ten minutes total and they work as advertised.
Volume control works as it should, no issues.

I'm a little pissed because I paid $65 for the one I put in my 4Runner...

These adapters just make it so you dont have to plug in the phone, right? Headunit has to be auto/carplay compatible already?

Like my 18 4Runner without Android Auto wouldn't gain it by using this USB stick?

So no good for my 4R but might be nice in wife's Highlander which does have Carplay/Auto funtionality using USB.
What's the privacy policy like on these adapters?
Everything on my phone get relayed to china if I connect to it?
