Anyone know of any aftermarket skid plates that are decent? The one I have on my 14 seems to be rotting out and according to the dealership my Extended Platinum coverage does not cover replacement.

    Just bought dat bish
I've got an extra stock skid. If you want it, let me know. It's in good condition. Other than that, there's companies that have plate steel skids for off road applications. Look through the vendor list and I'm sure you'll find a few.

Makes me wonder what else the platinum warrant won't cover.

    Awesome, I appreciate that.

I have a friend in my local dealer service dept, he has hooked me up before so I guess we will see what he says.

I can see not covering a skid plate that was used and/or abused, but yours was rusted through. Seems a little different.

Yeah and its the wifes ride, never been off roading. A few slow scenic rides but no wheeling.

The door actuators and the fact the truck has 5 computers is the only reason I bought an extended warranty. Extended warranties suck! But one actuator is about $800. Anyway I'm not surprised they won't cover that since it's probably considered a wear item . They will try and get out of anything. For aftermarket skids and your situation, I recommend RCI aluminum skids unless you can find a stock one for free or real cheap.

Oh, you gotta read it. It’s good. It’s the reason I don’t get them.

Thanks. For 505 it was a no brainer. At least the actuators are covered for a while yet
