Issue with Chiming/ringing and Navagation

Hello Everyone,

I have a 2020 4x4 4 Runner limited.

1. When I stop, turn off the car and open the door 50% of the time it starts chiming/ ringing and doesn't stop. Then the dash shows the the picture of 2 front doors are open. I have gone around and checked all doors and the back but they are all closed tight. What could this be and how do I stop it?

2. I use my apple car play for navcation but the 4 runner also has navation that I don't use. When driving down the road it will randomly say " welcome to" Virgina, Alabama, NC or where ever when I'm only a few miles from my house. It says I have to take it to the dealership but is there a simple fix to calabrate it that I can do myself?

2) If your Apple CarPlay navigation is showing you in the wrong state, you can try these steps:

• Recalibrate the navigation system: Connect your car to Apple CarPlay, then go to your iPhone's settings and turn off sharing your precise location for both Google Maps and the Maps app. Turn it on again to recalibere the navigation system.
  
  
• Check your location services: In the Settings app, tap Privacy & Security, then Location Services. Make sure Location Services is on, and Maps is set to While Using the App or Widgets.
  
  
• Check for obstructions: A weak GPS signal can cause a position to be off by as much as 200 feet.

 

OMG!

I can not thank you enough for giving me a direction to go. I took my 4 runner to the dealership for issue #1 and they thought I was nuts as it wasn't messing up the day I was there. So I bet this is the issue. Thank you Thank you thank you. I for sure will check the apple car play also.
