Hells revenge was so fun I did it twice in my taco there. Never tried Elevator but crushed Mickey's Hot Tub and Hells Gate

That’s pretty good. Personally I wouldn’t go lower than 15 psi without beadlocks, even on a proper rim width.

I’ve been debating on tire size once my stock tires need to be replaced and really like 285/70r17 but was always hesitant because of this “issue”. Good to know you haven’t had any problems with it going that low. Maybe that’ll be my next tire size then

Yeah don’t let that concern stop you from going bigger. I was told the rule of thumb is 20psi for gravel and bumps 15psi for snow and sand. I’ve never had an issue going to either of those

Yea I’ve been airing down the same as you but I’m on stock size so no issue with the rim width. I’ve contemplating 255/80 17 since they are a true fit on the trd wheels but they only come in load E. I want load C which is offered on most 285/70 17

thanks for the feedback though and for sharing pics of your trip!

With the 285/70/17 you will probably get some rubbing. Will have to remove the mud flaps and “shave” a little off the front black wheel well insert. It’s easy. You’re shaving so little off that you can’t even visually tell. We head to AZ tomorrow for some more off-roading. I was just in an off roading store and asked what tire they recommended and without hesitation 3 of them quickly said Mickey Thompson Baja Boss. They said they were superior on pavement and off road. They didn’t sell them either. These guys were just experienced off roaders. Take a look at those. I’m going to get some probably within a year. Cheers! Have a great weekend

We leave Moab tomorrow and are heading to Sedona next. We will definitely do it. Thanks for the recommendation. We just added Broken arrow to our list

If you're exiting one of the three most common routes (Willow Springs, Klondike Bluffs or Salt Valley Road), they all take you to 191 and there's a gas station a couple miles in either direction (N or S) regardless of which one you take.

Ran the Toyo at 15 psi. Going over a sea of rocks. 5 miles of this terrain took us 6 hours. Tires held up perfectly. My wife constantly had to get out and navigate me.

    How was it?
    Any pictures?

I did it last year, and plan on going back next month.
Did you do the devil's staircase or bypassed it? I heard it keeps getting worse over the years. When I did it last year fully stock it was okay but I was going extremely slow going down (the first part of the staircase) not sure if it's still fine on stock tires and no lift but worse comes to worse I have rock sliders.
How did you fare with your lift and 285s on it?

No pics. I have a good buddy coming to stay with us for the weekend and we r doing it again. I’ll get some pics. 285s held up well. I have an Eibach 3 inch lift. I’m glad I got rock rails. I’m SO GLAD. I’m new to off roading so I’m gauging my limits. I’m running Toyo at3s. It’s my first set of all terrain tires. I’m happy with them. Deflated to 15psi and they weee solid.

Yep, the Willow Springs entrance. The dude that flipped the Tahoe was not paying attention and drove off the main road and off the shelf. He's probably done the same thing in the mall parking lot. The outcome shown in the video shouldn't discourage any normal person for using this back door entrance.

Cool. If I go back to Moab I will definitely try that trail.
