I installed a Pedal Commander (PC) on my 2022 4Runner everything was running fine until I experienced the following check engine warnings:

VEHICLE LACKS ACCELERATION AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT PRESENT
    BRAKE OVERRIDE MALFUNCTION

The engine ran under reduced speed and could not accelerate. I ended up disengaging the unit and reset the computer by battery disconnect then everything seemed to reset.

Has anyone using the PC experienced any similar check engine warning issues? Thank you

It's been an issue with these. I never experienced it when I had one but I dumped it for simply moving my foot faster for the same effect without the low speed jumpy throttle.

Gale Banks had a good video explaining why devices like Pedal commander trigger check engine lights.

I'm not sure if this could be a factor, but I have heard that if you change the settings while you are driving it can set off a check engine light.
