GLOVE BOX DOOR REMOVAL

I NEED TO REPLACE MY DAMAGED GLOVE BOX DOOR. CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME TO REMOVE AND INSTALL. I PURCAHSED A NEW ONE FROME TOYOTA. KINDA PRICY BUT MY WIFE WANTS ME TO REPLACE.

You might have to remove the whole glove box.

 

HAVE YOU TRIED TO TAKE IT OUT YOURSELF?

 

My 4runner is a 2015 limited.. I looked at taking it out just not sure what to to remove..There is a yellow pin on right side of glove box.
Nor sure if that has anything to do with it..Thanks Shawn but that glove box is from early years. I also have a 2006 4runner, no problem on it to remove glove box door

 

I pulled the glove box and surround on my 2021 OR to route a front mounted camera cable thru the firewall to the Head Unit this weekend. I followed the instructions on the link below to get the job done.

It’s fairly straight forward and the only tools needed included a trim panel remover, Flat Blade and Phillips Screwdrivers and a 10mm socket.

You will remove the passenger side sill plate, the passenger side kick panel, the knee airbag and then the glovebox assembly. I was able to get everything out in about 15 min going slowly. Everything went back together smoothly… Hope this helps you get your project done.

i just did this yesterday to get access to the gray garnish panel that is cracked, as i'm sure everyone else's is also, for all years. this is a toyota problem and i am going to send them a message with photos and see what happens. those panels are expensive.
