Thoughts on alternative to Wescott Collar Kit due to 6-8 week delivery?

Plan is immediately to do 285’s, a collar kit, and Spider 1.25" with factory wheels.

Thoughts? Any additional trimming other than removing mud flaps?

A BMC. With wheel spacers you have an excellent chance of rubbing the frame. Personally I'd skip them.

Toytec is another option: I have their Bilstein TRD Pro collar kit and it has worked well for several years. I assume you have the updated Fox suspension which will use a different kit (linked above). Good luck!

Per their video if you don't install wheel spacers the lift kit should clear the 285/70R17.

Whenever someone says they are going to make suspension changes, I typically ask for what purpose.

Are you making suspension changes for looks or performance; on road or off road?

If it is to clear larger tires, for what purpose, looks or performance?
-off road performance, or on road performance, what's more important to you
-what is the largest obstacle you expect to encounter and is the taller tire going to help (rolling over, or the negligible amount of additional ground clearance)

With no other information, I wouldn't lift the vehicle.
-For off road, I would use the largest tire you can fit without additional modifications, and I would pick a tire tread pattern based on your driving conditions.
-For on road, I would use the stock size with a tread pattern based on your driving conditions.

Realize, lifting the vehicle doesn't allow for a larger tire (in the front). The space in the wheel opening limits tire size based on the diameter, size, height (misnomer) based on the horizontal plane, not the vertical plane. Lifting the vehicle doesn't really allow you to run a larger tire on a 4Runner, and it limits your suspension articulation, so you "decrease" suspension performance by lifting the vehicle, and it doesn't help to fit the larger tire.

    Can't argue with that.

I run 285 70 17 with pro wheels (positive 4 offset) I barely clear with no rubbing on the cab mount and mud flaps with zero offset wheels or spacers you absolutely will rub. I also rubbed on the front fender liner at reverse at full lock but I tucked it back so I clear everything now
