2016 SR5 Premium. Wireless key (fob/key all in one). I would like to program this so that when I click the unlock button on the key, all doors unlock at once. I am tired of trying to wait just long enough, but no too long to click a second time while my wife stands by her door and looks at me like I'm an idiot.

Have tried all menus and Apps, there is no Vehicle or Door menu option. Also, tried the "hold Lock/Unlock" for 5 seconds trick - does nothing.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks!

    Oooh look, another mod.....

With the engine running and in park.

    1) Menu
    2) Settings
    3) Vehicle
    4) Vehicle Customization
    5) Door Lock Settings

From there you can change how the door locks operate for a variety of things, including unlock all at once.

You might be able to do it with the ignition in 'Run' and the engine off, but I didn't try that. The 'Vehicle' menu option is grayed-out if you have the ignition in Accessory.

Thanks, this is what I thought as well. But, ...

There is no "Menu" button. See attached pictures (sorry for the bad lighting). "1" shows what buttons I have available. Apps gives me a Setup Menu and the Home screen has a gear icon which also takes me to the Setup screen. "2" shows the options I have under Setup. I have been down every menu and there is no "Vehicle" option.

I just came in from the garage to try reprogramming the door locks. Our old-timey head unit doesn't have those fancy electronics the newer 4R's have. My screen is exactly like yours. No joy.

For pre-2020 models check out Carista for customizing some features:

Dealer can program that for you. Lots of custom setting the dealer can do, i had them do mine with driver first than all since its safer.

Carista is an optional dongle and app so you can do it yourself with a subscription.

Eibach Stage 2 lift. Pro front grill. Sound deaden doors, cargo area, and rear tailgate. Diode Dynamics fog lights. Anytime front camera connected to Kenwood head unit. Kicker sub and amp. GX rear bump stop and Energy Suspension front bump stop. FJ cruiser shift knob, rear mollie panels, black paint climate control knobs.
I have 2018 with Kenwood headunit. It has canbus access, unfortunately I don't see the one press unlock all option.

I used Carista for my 19. The dongle comes with a free trial period.

Thanks to all who haver offered advice. To JT4RN - the "Unlock by Driver Door" may solve my problem .... except my headunit does;'t have that option.

To others: I may ask the dealer just to see what they say but I am not a fan of having to have dealers do my mods for me, even simple ones. Also, if there is even a hint of a charge for this, I will not be interested - options like this should not be a paid-for service in my opinion. I have seen (here and elsewhere) the mention of Carista. I may start looking into a device like that or possibly what my headunit options might be. But, I won't be subscribing to anything. Sign me "grumpy old dude".

Thanks to you all though - you rock!

    “Do what to your key?…oh…I dunno…maybe $80-200”

I had to use Carista on mine to have all doors unlocked at once.
I have a 2019 and it wasn’t in both settings, cluster or head unit.

Carista was like $10 for a one month subscription when I got it. Not sure if they still do, but they used to give a week free if you purchase the dongle. You really only need it one time to change settings to how you want it. The dongle is like 40 bucks on Amazon. Cheaper than dealer visit. You can change a lot of settings- interior/exterior lights, door locks, windows, etc.

I bought my Carista dongle on the for sale section here last month, $30, and will be listing it back here for $30. The app is $10 for a month which is far more time than you will need. But lets you make so many little quality of life changes.
