I placed a small air compressor in the area where jack is stored. Went to pull it out and it slipped down in to the void. Cannot reach it is there another access point. Any help?

If you have a 3rd row you can remove the flooring for more access. Can't speak for models without the 3rd row.

Perhaps a claw grabber tool might work.

Tried coat hanger can not get it back far enough. The object is about 5” long 1 1/2 wide and may be 1” thick. Not sure how deep this void is. Again it is compartment where Jackie kept. Item is under the plate and is not visible.

Is it even moveable? Could you say jack up one side or the back and get it to slide towards the opening?

do you really need that compressor right now? leave it and buy another one a little bigger, so they will not pile up there.

OP, either you have to make an extra effort by what ever means or write it off to an oops and don't store another like it there.
Any lanky kids in your neighborhood with small hands? Could be worth a 20 spot to the lucky retriever.

How valuable was the air compressor?

Just keep at it until you get it. It can’t be that deep. Magnets on stick, coat hangar, silly putty, whatever works. Lay down inside the cargo area if you need to get different angles. Use an inspection mirror or a cheap phone based borescope camera to see how it’s laying to know where to fish.

If you just can’t get it from the top, you could try it from the outside by removing the rear bumper cover, to get access to the cabin vent thingy on the side of the body. I think you can take those vents off and it will be a straight in shot to see into that area.

If you get discouraged, watch one of those nature shows with monkeys using sticks to fish for bugs inside holes. :D
