Might want to elaborate to help others.

I sold mine before I could install it not sure if the new owner got it working. But you are buying Chinese parts......

So get what you pay for.

Looking forward to what the failure is.
Defective, missing step in documentation, etc.

That’s a shame though, I’d hate to deal with a 9 hour failure of a job.

I haven't installed a set so I don't know what the process is like but did you check fuses?

I did check the inline 10amp fuse it came with
It looks fine but I’ll try another one
I’ve got no power at the motors

I’m in contact with customer service
We shall see what they offer

I used KTJOs mirrors and they worked. It is a painful install though.

I’ve installed 3 different sets of their mirrors ( different part number versions… first 2 weren’t plug n play ) on my 4Runners (‘20 limited, ‘21 limited ns and ‘23 limited )with no issues. You could easily cut the wires that are going to the motor/mirror and hook a battery to it and see if it’s the motor, module or installation issue.

just curious…Are you supposed to disconnect the battery prior to install ?

And I’m sure after your three installs you have the install time significantly since your first ?

I didn’t disconnect the battery at any time. As for the time it took me, the first was maybe 4-5 hours ( very particular about my wire management ). The second was faster because I had a clue what I was getting into. The last ( ‘23 limited ) was a bitch ( not hard just time consuming ) because there are harnesses in both doors that you have to depin. Toyota changed the plugs and the wires cant pass thru. I am not sure if they have addressed this in the new kits or not. Again, this is for ‘23-‘24 models I believe. Sorry to hear about your problem. Hopefully it’s a one off issue. If they send you a new kit ( probably coming from California ) I would bench test it before installing.
Also, I’m assuming that everything is working fine on the runner ( signals or heated mirrors etc. )? Didn’t accidentally blow any fuses

    So
I just got a new kit
    Same thing
    Zero power to the motors

    it must be my truck
The kit has been updated and my runner is an 18LTD

so I’m thinking the updated wiring doesn’t work on my rig

there’s another company someone mentioned on here that makes these things
Mb I’ll try a different vendor

    what a PITA

    So
    Looking deeper into this

my DC current to my OBD port has a blown fuse
It keeps blowing when I install

the only aftermarket thing I have on my runner is interior led bulbs
A USB-C plug adapter and LED low beams

Could these things keep blowing fuses ?

Could be. I guess you’d have to unplug them to find out. I have the Sam but used diode dynamics led bulbs vs Amazon stuff. I don’t think the USB or low beams are the issue.

So those others are related to the mirrors you think or separate?

Ended up being a frayed wire that kept shorting out

replaced that piece and it was good
