Howdy from Florida!

Never thought I'd have the honor of being a 4Runner owner, but here I am!

I've wanted a 4Runner since they first came out in the mid-80's (my teen/high school years) but every attempt I made to buy one (private by-owner sales) resulted in showing up to test drive early-mid 90's models that had rotted frames, rotted bodies (this was upstate NY) and were mechanically neglected by their owners.

Test drove a 2024 SR5 Premium 4WD Saturday at the dealership and three hours later, walked out with my dream vehicle. The 20 minute ride home had me smiling the whole way. Buying this vehicle made me way happier than if you'd dropped me off at the Porsche dealership with instructions to "pick one."

Was a Honda owner for 25 years before going to the dark side (aka Hell officially froze over) and buying a 2022 Ford Maverick. Loved that little truck, and it got great mileage, but...

It wasn't a 4Runner.

What part of the Sun-bake state are you from?

 

St. Pete Native, now living on the beachside, Volusia County.

Lucky. I miss my hometown. They've down so much to the area since I left in 1991. What area of St. Pete?

 

I'm actually on the north end of Pinellas Park....66th and 102nd Ave just south of Bryan Dairy Rd.

 

I grew up in the Jungle Terrace area off 22nd Ave and Park St., but spent a lot of time in "Pineapple Park" horseback riding in my younger days. Very few farms remaining on 62nd Ave. off 66th Street.
