I have a problem that I can’t figure out. I have a 2022 Limited. In the past several months the connectivity between my cell and the radio has been weird. Sometimes I can get the CarPlay app that is connected which is all good, however most of the time for some reason my cell will say charging for 5 seconds then it drops, and it never shows the app of CarPlay. This is a continuous issue, that I am forced to use the Bluetooth instead. I tested my cell and cable on my daughter’s Subaru forester, and it works perfectly. Today I bought a new USB port from Toyota, and it still does it. Any recommendations?

    Oooh look, another mod.....
Is the issue isolated to just your phone? Have you tried another phone to see if CarPlay connects and stays connected? Check your iOS version and see if you're to date. You should be @ 17.5.1 Also, uninstall/reinstall the CarPlay app on your phone.

Thanks for the advice, I have not tried another phone, I will do that, and also update the head unit firmware.

When I had the issue on my 2021, my iPhone worked on my other vehicle so the issue seemed to be isolated to my 4Runner.

    Cheers,
    Bob
