Hello, I'm thinking about putting a new motor in a family members broken Toy... looking for advice on costs... it's a nice truck, but blown motor previously owned by niece, i had a 90 4x4 for years, it was awesome.. I'd either use it as my car or sell it.
    Thx, Jo

This maybe an option for for you to consider for a good engine, they sell rebuilt engines with a 7 years, 1,000,000 mile warranty (yes that's 1 million miles), even if you DYI the install, but you may have to document the install, I don't know how it works, but check it out.

If you are ok with lots of torque but not much horsepower, look at Cummins r28 2.8L turbo diesel crate motor. I am getting a brand spanking new one for my TJ.

We appreciate you buying that new Cummins engine, it will help the wife's retirement and profit sharing funds, she has worked for Cummins for 23 yrs. Thanx again, plus it's an excellent engine.

Cummins is a great company, you should be proud of her.
Can't wait for their hydrogen and fuel agnostic motors.

Low mileage junk yard engine or remanufactured. I like that old Ford Ranchero in foreground. Welcome to the forum.

Very proud of her! She will have a total of 24 yrs. in when she retires next May, we are both going to be retired in 2026, and are looking forward to the Cheesehead 4Runner outings in Wisconsin! Sorry about the "highjacking" OP.
