They sure look good. I have been looking at Nitto for the taco I have. The Mickey Thompson set I have now on the 4R do great offroad but a bit louder for me on the highway.

 

No 265/70-17 other than E rated?

 

I want to buy tires this month and since this tire in stock size is only available in a E I might just order some Ridge Grapplers instead. I see that Toyota dealerships this month is running a deal about buy 3 and get the fourth one free . Anyone use that deal ?

 

The second graphic says it's coming later in 2024.

They will be heavy, in "E". I see though they have some lighter rated tires, and those probably won't be as heavy as BFG and Falken, which offer them in "E".

 

I looked at that second graphic, and missed that it listed this size. Nice looking tire, but personally would wait for the non-E version.

 

I wouldn’t recommend Ridge Grapplers, if you are in the market to buy new. I’ve yet to see great reviews of anything Nitto (kinda same deal with Toyos) on this website tbh. There’s a few other tires receiving very high praise, and probably not offering 3 for 4 deals ;

Yeah the MT Baja Boss has also caught my eye . The new Yokohama is made in Thailand so major pass for me .
I only want U.S., Japan, or Canadian made tires .
And when it comes to reviews it doesn’t matter what make or model tire . Someone will have something bad to say about it .

So Michelin aren’t enough all-terrain/aggressive looking for me.
But people sleep on grabbers, and mickeys.
Falkens are the new KO2’s, everyone is creamin’ over them, not I.

baja boss are badass. zero negative reviews

 

The only concern I have on the Mickeys is road noise . Those big outer lugs look like they’d really howl on the highway. Anybody have some insight on the road noise ?

 

I can say after a few years personally, they are not “quiet”. But they are admittedly an at/mt tread tire, so quieter than mt but louder than some at’s.

Well dang. How about the Toyo AT3 ?

 

So my twin brother has Toyo AT3’s on his GMC Sierra Elevation - but those things are on 20 inch rims and could argue it’s apples and oranges. He likes em, but what does he know!?
Honestly, I wouldn’t buy Toyos, even though they are the official tire of the UFC which I adore. Because I’ve heard too many negative reviews mostly regarding tread wear, maybe a little bit of noise.

 

Late night getting home from MusikFest. No road noise on my 285’s. I love them. Had them also before my 285’s had them 265’s now my friend she has them on her 4runner.
